At Gangs of London RP ("GOL", "we", "us", "our") we handle your personal data fairly, lawfully and transparently. This policy explains what we collect, why, and who we share it with when you use our website (gangsoflondonrp.com), our store, our FiveM server and our Discord.
1. Who we are
Gangs of London RP is a UK-based FiveM GTA V roleplay community. For data protection questions, email a2aj98@hotmail.com or open a ticket on our Discord.
2. The personal data we collect
- your FiveM (Cfx.re) username and account ID, Discord username and ID, and in-game character names;
- purchase records: Tebex transaction ID, package, date and time, and the delivery record for each purchase;
- game identifiers the FiveM server receives when you join: Rockstar licence, FiveM ID, Discord ID (if linked), IP address and hardware identifiers (tokens) provided by FiveM;
- server activity relevant to roleplay, moderation, anti-cheat and account administration;
- support tickets, reports, appeals and other messages you send us.
Your email address, billing details and card details are collected by Tebex, which processes all payments as the seller of record. We never see or store your full card details.
3. How we use your data
- to deliver your purchases automatically and instantly to the right account;
- to run the server, our store and community features;
- to give support and handle purchase problems;
- to moderate the community, investigate rule breaches and prevent cheating, fraud and abuse, including abuse of one-time offers such as our first-time buyer discount;
- to respond to chargebacks and payment disputes;
- to email you about your order, including a thank-you email after a purchase and one reminder if you leave items in your basket, which may include a discount code. These emails are sent through Tebex. If you do not want them, open a ticket on our Discord or email us;
- to keep the website and server secure and working well.
4. Our lawful bases
- Contract: to deliver what you buy and give you access to our services.
- Legitimate interests: to run and protect our server and community, prevent fraud and abuse, and handle disputes.
- Legal obligation: where we must keep or share data by law.
5. Payments, delivery records and fraud prevention
Payments are processed by Tebex under its own privacy policy. Our game server records your FiveM account ID, Rockstar licence, Discord ID (if linked) and the hardware identifiers FiveM provides, alongside your purchase and delivery records. We may share delivery records with Tebex and payment providers to resolve chargebacks and payment disputes.
6. Public supporter list
When you complete a purchase, your store username (the name on your FiveM/Tebex account) and the package you bought may be shown in the "Recent purchases" and "Top supporters" sections of our website. We never show your email address, how much you paid or your payment details. If you would rather not be shown, open a ticket on our Discord and we will hide your name.
7. Our website, cookies and storage
Our website does not use advertising or tracking cookies. It stores a few settings in your own browser (such as your currency, favourites, music on or off and whether you have seen the intro). These stay on your device and are not sent to us. The background music player uses YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com); YouTube may process data under its own privacy policy when the music plays. Checkout takes place on Tebex's secure pages, which use their own cookies.
8. Who we share data with
- Tebex and payment providers, to process payments and resolve disputes;
- our hosting and technical providers (for example our game server host, GitHub Pages and Cloudflare), only as needed to run our services;
- our staff team, only where needed for support and moderation;
- authorities, where the law requires it.
We do not sell your personal data.
9. How long we keep data
- purchase and delivery records: for as long as needed to deliver purchases, keep accounts and handle disputes (at least as long as a chargeback can be raised);
- ban, moderation and anti-cheat records: for as long as the ban or record is relevant;
- support tickets and technical logs: for as long as reasonably needed, then deleted.
10. Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to be informed, to access your data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to processing, to data portability and, where we rely on consent, to withdraw it. To use these rights, email a2aj98@hotmail.com or open a ticket on our Discord. Some data (such as purchase, delivery and ban records) may need to be kept to protect against fraud and handle disputes.
11. Complaints
Please contact us first so we can try to help. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
12. Children
If you are under 18 you need a parent or guardian's permission before buying anything. If you believe a child has given us personal data inappropriately, contact us and we will review and remove it where appropriate.
13. Security
We take reasonable steps to protect personal data against loss, misuse and unauthorised access. Secret keys are kept on our server only and never in our website. No online system can be completely secure.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page with the date it was last updated.
